On A Whim – Cozy 2 Bedroom Cabin with Community Lake Access in Deep Creek Lake (Swanton)


On a Whim is a charming, family-friendly cabin nestled in the heart of Sky Valley, a picturesque lakefront community just a short drive away from local restaurants, family attractions, and the renowned Wisp Resort. Additionally, the home is just 5 minutes from Thousand Acres Golf Club (Public Access). The Sky Valley neighborhood offers a wealth of amenities, including community lake access, a pickleball/basketball court, and a playground, making it perfect for all ages to enjoy. Whether you're looking to relax or explore, this cabin has something for everyone. In the winter, you can enjoy sled riding on the hill out back, while warmer months invite you to fish in the neighborhood pond or swim in the community swimming area of the lake. Relax and unwind with a morning cup of coffee on the cozy, wooded porches, or enjoy a soak in the hot tub and then gather around the firepit for a night under the stars.


Inside, the warmth of the wood stove will keep you toasty (please bring your own firewood). On a Whim offers two comfortable bedrooms: a queen bedroom on the main floor and another queen bedroom on the upper floor. The loft area is a great space for kids, featuring a set of bunk beds and a twin daybed. With two bathrooms, this cabin comfortably accommodates families and friends alike. Whether you're here for a weekend getaway or an extended stay, On a Whim is the perfect home base for your Sky Valley adventure.

*Max parking spaces for this home is 4; garage access is not available

*Check-in is between 4 pm- 9 pm; Check-out is by 10 am.
*Minimum age to rent is 25.

WHAT TO BRING:
Please plan to bring your own supplies. One bath towel and one washcloth per person will be provided. Homes are equipped with cookware, dishes, drinkware, utensils, and bed linens for the max occupancy of the home. Propane will be provided for all propane grills; any refill requests can be made during normal business hours. Some items NOT provided include: paper products, food/spices, coffee filters, trash bags, detergents, soaps, toiletries, beach towels, firewood and makeup remover wipes (recommended to avoid fees for towel damage). 

PETS:
This home is not pet-friendly. Undisclosed pets will be charged a fee equal to 3x the standard pet fee, per pet.                                 

WINTER RESERVATIONS:
A 4WD vehicle is required to access rentals between November through April. Private driveways will not be snow-plowed unless and until there is 5 inches of snow.

RESERVATION PROCESS:  
WITHIN 24 HRS OF BOOKING, sign the Rental Agreement to begin receiving your pre-arrival information. (Door Codes will NOT be released without an e-signed agreement.) Once completed, your check-in instructions and door code will be automatically sent ONE DAY PRIOR TO ARRIVAL. If you do not receive this info, please check your spam folder first. If it is still missing, contact us before 4 pm to ensure a smooth check-in.
